The iPinza, as they have nicknamed it, can forecast rain, tells you the best time to hang your washing and, thanks to its humidity sensor, even pings your device to let you know when the laundry is dry.
The iPinza, as they have nicknamed it, can forecast rain, tells you the best time to hang your washing out and, thanks to its humidity sensor, even pings your device to let you know when the laundry is dry.
This clothespin will work with Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomePod, so your smart speaker can announce out loud that it is time to bring in the clothes you hung up on the rooftop.
Its sensor also flags the best time to hang things out, taking advantage of the warmest temperatures of the day and the driest conditions in the air.
The iPinza project is a sustainable initiative created by Neurafy, born to make laundry at home easier and quicker while cutting the electricity used to dry clothes. The idea is to make the most of sunlight for drying and, in doing so, reduce reliance on electric dryers.
The concept came after years of trial and error forecasting the weather by intuition, where you often had to wash everything again after a sudden downpour, or watched colors fade because the clothes were left in the sun for days on end.
With this smart clothespin you no longer have to worry about surprises or forgetting your washing, because your E-pinza is connected to AEMET and to Alexa and other smart speakers. Even when you are away from home, you stay on top of what is happening on your washing line through the app notifications on your phone.
Smart resources for smart homes
That is how Neurafy describes what this new take on the laundry clothespin can do. It is one of the first projects the company is developing in its home line, connecting SMART intelligence with the new era.
